elephants slaughter for making tables!?

Hey all you all,

I am a student at the Design Academy Eindhoven, and saw a student working on a project for Ingo Maurer, making tables out of illegally imported elephant skins? For the fair at Milano. What a waste I say, what is it with people think that design should always come up with something new? The guy was working with real elephant skins, he would not tell the origin of the skins. Illigal imported out of africa? Okay you have idiots wearing fur, but this goes way too far. No sense, making tables out of hardened elephant skin, what is the use!?
